Day 1 - Amsterdam, Holland / Embarkation

Day 2 - Amsterdam
On today’s tour, see the Royal Palace and then the renowned collection of Dutch masterworks at the Rijksmuseum. Enjoy a boat tour along the canals, framed by step-gabled houses. Meals B,L,D

Day 3 - Xanten
In ancient Xanten, founded as a Roman outpost, your tour explores the cobbled streets of the Old Town and the marketplace. You’ll be greeted at the Town Hall with a glass of real “Kanonikus”, the specialty of Xanten. Meals B,L,D

Day 4 - Cologne, Germany
Your visit today is highlighted by the magnificent twin-spired Cologne Cathedral, and a guided stroll through the Old Town to see the ancient Roman foundations of the city. Meals B,L,D

Day 5 - Koblenz
Strategically set at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, Koblenz sits in the shadow of the imposing Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. You’ll enjoy fine views of the city and rivers from the fort, and then stroll through picturesque Jesuit Square to the Church of Our Lady. This evening you dock in Rudesheim, a charming village surrounded by the lush vineyards of the Rhine valley. After dinner, it’s pleasant to stroll the town’s winding streets, lined with shops, cafes and many wine taverns. Meals B,L,D

Day 6 - Aschaffenburg
You arrive in this historic town on the banks of the Main River for a splendid walking tour. See the Church of St. Peter and Alexander and the imposing Johannisburg Castle. Strolling through Market Square, you’ll admire the many finely-preserved half-timbered homes. Meals B,L,D

Day 7 - Würzburg
Enjoy two days in this delightful wine town. Your excursion features Würzburg Cathedral, the Town Hall and the Bishops’ Palace, a masterpiece of German Baroque with its famous grand staircase and magnificent frescoes by the Italian master Giovanni Tiepolo. Meals B,L,D

Day 8 - Würzburg

Day 11 - Regensburg

Day 12 - Passau
This morning’s tour begins atop the Vesle Oberhaus lookout with stunning views of historic Passau and the meeting of the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers. Continue with a stroll through Old Town to visit the Cathedral, home to Europe’s largest pipe organ. Return to ship and set sail for Vienna. Meals B,L,D
