Day 1 Vienna
Begin your journey in the “City of Waltzes”

Welcome to Vienna, Austria’s elegant capital. We’ll meet you at the airport and transfer you to your ship.* After boarding, enjoy free time and get acquainted with the city. Dinner included.

Day 2 Vienna
Listen and learn what inspired the Masters
Take a motorcoach tour along the Ringstrasse into the “City of Waltzes” and see the Opera House and Hofburg Palace. Tour Belvedere Palace; see its landscaped gardens and Austrian art collection featuring works by Gustav Klimt. Have lunch aboard with afternoon free time. Dinner is aboard followed by an optional evening concert. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3 Melk
Walk through a baroque masterpiece
Board a motorcoach taking you to the 900-year-old Benedictine abbey. Your guided tour takes you to see a collection of medieval manuscripts, ceiling and frescoes. Return to your ship for lunch. Cruise through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 4 Passau
Hear the rich sound of Europe’s largest pipe organ
Dock in Passau, a 2,000-year-old city at the confluence of the Inn, Ilz and Danube Rivers. Take a walking tour through town. Then enjoy a special concert in St. Stephan’s Cathedral, home to Europe’s largest pipe organ.† After lunch aboard, enjoy free time. Dinner coincides with an evening departure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. † Passau organ concert not available after November 1.

Day 5 Regensburg
Enjoy a walk in this “picture postcard” riverside town
Arrive in Regensburg. Enjoy a guided walk featuring the Town Hall, St. Peter’s Cathedral and the 12th century Old Stone Bridge. Return to your ship for lunch. Your afternoon is at leisure. Dine aboard; cruise through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 6 Nuremberg
Enter the gateway to World War II history
Tour Nuremberg; see Zeppelin Field and the Palace of Justice, site of the Nuremberg Trials. Then tour the castle grounds for a remarkable view of the city. Or, take our optional WWII history tour visiting the Documentation Center Museum. The afternoon is yours to enjoy. Dine aboard. Depart late tonight. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 7 Bamberg
Walk the cobblestones of this ancient village
After cruising through the Main-Danube Canal, arrive in Bamberg‡, founded in 902. Take a ride into the city for a walking tour along its cobbled streets. Enjoy free time and sample the town’s famous locally brewed smoky-tasting beer, Rauchbier. Dine aboard. Depart this evening. ‡Note: Due to cruising time, Bamberg is only visited on the Vienna to Amsterdam itinerary direction.

Day 8 Würzburg
Enjoy well-preserved baroque & medieval architecture
Board a motorcoach for a full-day excursion to Würzburg, a charming Franconian wine town. Explore the Bishops’ Residenz, featuring paintings and frescoes by Italian painter Tiepolo. Have lunch in a local Franconian restaurant. On the way back to your ship, pass some quaint wine villages along the Main River. Stop at the Church of St. Mary in the Vineyard and sample some local wines. Join your ship in Würzburg. Dine aboard and cruise through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 9 Wertheim
Travel back to fabled times
Arrive in Wertheim, and set out on a walking tour of this charming town. Admire the imposing castle ruins set on a hill overlooking the town. Then, watch a local glassblowing demonstration or explore on your own. After free time, enjoy lunch as your ship departs to cruise through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 10 Mainz, Rüdesheim
Discover the birthplace of printing
Meet your guides dockside for a walking tour of Mainz. Visit Gutenberg Museum, chronicling the history of printing. Walk to St. Martin’s Cathedral or explore on your own before returning to your ship. Enjoy lunch as you sail. Arrive after dinner in the wine village of Rüdesheim. Your evening is at leisure to stroll the Drosselgasse, a pedestrian-only cobblestone street lined with restaurants, shops and taverns. Or, visit the Mechanical Music Museum on our optional tour. Dine aboard; dock overnight. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 11 Cochem
Stroll the cobbled streets of the Moselle gem
After breakfast, join a walking tour through this gem of the Moselle Valley; see its medieval town gate and marketplace. Then, enjoy a guided tour of Reichsburg Castle and admire the scenery from its hilltop location. Return to your ship for lunch and cruise through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 12 Bernkastel
A taste of local vintages
Today’s tour takes you along this village’s cobbled streets to the Vinothek, Wine Library of St. Nicholas Hospital. Here you’ll sample some of the 160 different wines from the Moselle and Saar Rivers’ wine-producing region. Eat lunch aboard and enjoy scenic cruising through the night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 13 Cologne
Discover Europe’s tallest Gothic cathedral
This morning’s walking tour takes you through Old Town on the way to the magnificent 14th century Gothic cathedral. Continue with a brewery visit where you sample Cologne’s local beer, Kölsch. Spend free time in town. Return to your ship for dinner and late-night cruising. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 14 Amsterdam
A lattice of canals, a diamond of a day
After lunch aboard, cruise Amsterdam’s canals on a glass-topped canal boat and take in breathtaking views. Then, visit the Van Gogh Museum where you see some of this artist’s famous paintings. During free time, enjoy local sights or tour a diamond factory. Dine aboard and enjoy the local nightlife while your ship docks overnight.

Day 15 Amsterdam
After breakfast, disembark and we’ll take you to the airport for your return flight.* Or, extend your journey with 3 nights in Amsterdam. From your centrally located hotel, you can walk to one of the city’s many museums or take a ride through the city’s scenic canals.

After breakfast, depart for your “Insider” tour of the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the world’s largest flower auction. DAY 2 Kraków
Join your guide for a tour of the key sights. Visit the hilltop Wawel Castle, the former royal residence. Then see Gothic St. Mary’s Church, the Old Town and bustling Market Square. DAY 4 Kraków
Check out of your hotel and either transfer to the airport for your flight home or to your ship, where your drive takes you past scenic Polish countryside, including its highest mountain range. After lunch, arrive in Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava.* See highlights including the Primatial Palace and St. Martin’s Church. Continue to your ship.
