Itinerary
BEIJING TO SHANGHAI - 16 DAYS

DAY 1: Depart Home Gateway City to Beijing

DAY 2: Beijing
Arrive in Beijing and be greeted by a Uniworld representative who will escort you to the Sheraton Hotel.

DAY 3: Beijing
Featured Excursion: Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace and Peking Duck dinner
Tour the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Next, admire the Summer Palace, one of China’s largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. And, at the end of the day, indulge in a succulent Peking Duck dinner. (BB, L, D)

DAY 4: Beijing
Featured Excursion: The Great Wall, Ming Tombs and Beijing Opera
Walk along the Great Wall and visit the Ming Tombs, home to the lavish burial chambers of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. End your day with refreshments and a traditional Beijing Opera performance. (BB, L, D)

DAY 5: Beijing, fly to Xi'an
Featured Excursion: Hutong tour
Ride in a rickshaw for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Hutongs (ancient lanes and alleyways). Later in the day, fly to Xi’an and transfer to the Sheraton Hotel. (BB, L, D)

DAY 6: Xi'an
Featured Excursion: Terra Cotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, dumpling lunch and Tang Dynasty dinner
Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Savor a delicious dumpling lunch, and in the evening delight in a Tang Dynasty dinner and cultural show. (BB, L, D)

DAY 7: Xi'an, fly to Chongqing
Featured Excursion: Panda visit
Fly from Xi’an to Chongqing. In the afternoon, you’ll be delighted with a visit to the zoo for a glimpse of a giant panda. Spend the evening at the Marriott hotel. (BB, L, D)

DAY 8: Chongqing (embark), Cruising the Yangtze River
Featured Excursion: Mingshan Hill Temples
Board your Victoria Cruises ship and sail along the Yangtze. Downriver visit the "Ghost City," Fengdu, and tour the temples on Mingshan Hill. (BB, L, D)

DAY 9: Cruising the Yangtze River
Featured Excursion: Lesser Three Gorges

Featured Excursion: Wuhan city tour
Tour Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province and a fusion of three cities that span both banks of the Yangtze. Explore the Hubei Provincial Museum. (BB, L, D)

DAY 12: Cruising the Yangtze River
Featured Excursion: Huangshan full-day tour
Discover why countless painters and poets have been lured to the landscape of Huangshan and its environs. Enjoy a full day tour of this enchanting area, depending on weather and/or road conditions. (BB, L, D)

DAY 13: Cruising the Yangtze River
Featured Excursion: Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Bazaar, and Confucian Temple

DAY 14: Cruising the Yangtze River toShanghai (disembark)

DAY 15: Shanghai, Tongli, Shanghai
