BEIJING TO HONG KONG - 20 DAYS
DAY 1: Depart Home Gateway City to Beijing
DAY 2: Beijing
Arrive in Beijing and be greeted by a
Uniworld representative who will escort you to
the Kempinski Hotel.
DAY 3: Beijing
Featured Excursion: Forbidden City,
Tiananmen Square and Temple of Heaven
Beijing is home to many sights that make China a
must-see destination, including your stops
today: the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and
the Temple of Heaven. You’ll also be treated to
a relaxing foot massage, and in the evening,
savor a traditional Peking Duck feast. (BB, L,

DAY 4: Beijing
Featured Excursion: The Great Wall, Ming
Tombs and Beijing Opera
You’ll walk along the Great Wall, which dates
from the 3rd century BC and extends 4,000
miles—a not-to-be-missed experience. Afterwards,
visit the lavish and historic Ming Tombs. In the
evening, enjoy a historic Beijing Opera

DAY 5: Beijing
Featured Excursion: Summer Palace, Beijing
Zoo, Hutong tour and Shishihai Lake
Join your tour guides for a visit to one of
China’s best-preserved imperial gardens at the
Summer Palace. Visit the Beijing Zoo, and take a
rickshaw tour of the Hutongs in the old
residential area of Beijing. In the evening,
enjoy a boat tour of Shishihai Lake. (BB, L, D)
DAY 6: Beijing, fly to Xi'an
Featured Excursion: Welcome ceremony
This morning, you’ll fly to the ancient city of
Xi’an, where upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by
a Royal Welcome Ceremony held just for you at
the city gate. After the ceremony, transfer to

DAY 7: Xi'an
Featured Excursion: Terra Cotta Warriors,
Big Wild Goose Pagoda, dumpling lunch and Tang
Dynasty Performance
Visit the iconic life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors
and Horses guarding the tomb of Qin Shi Huang,
the first emperor of China. Admire the Big Wild
Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building
and a holy place for Buddhists. During the
evening, enjoy a Tang Dynasty dinner and

DAY 8: Xi’an, fly to Shanghai, Tongli, Suzhou
Featured Excursion: Tongli tour and evening
performance
Fly to Shanghai, and then continue on to
charming Tongli with its narrow streets, and
elegant homes, teahouses and intriguing shops.
Next you’ll visit Suzhou, known for its famous
and delicate gardens. Before going to your
evening performance of music and dance, you’ll
check in to the Shangri-La Hotel. (BB, L, D)
DAY 9: Suzhou to Shanghai
Featured Excursion: Garden tour and canal
boat tour
You will tour the Humble Administrator Gardens,
a splendid example of Suzhou’s famous gardens
and also listed as a UNESCO World Cultural
Heritage Site. Board a traditional boat and
cruise the 1,000-year-old canals. Visit the
Embroidery Institute before returning to
bustling Shanghai where you will transfer to the

DAY 10: Shanghai
Featured Excursion: Shanghai city tour and
Acrobat Performance
Enjoy the many splendors of Shanghai including
Old Town, the Bund, Yu Yuan Gardens, and an
evening performance by the world-famous Shanghai

DAY 11: Shanghai, fly to Yichang (embark)
Featured Excursion: Oriental Pearl TV Tower
Tour the Oriental Pearl TV Tower with its
distinctive artistic spheres before your flight
to Yichang, where you’ll board your luxurious

DAY 12: Cruising the Yangtze River
Featured Excursion: Three Gorges Dam
Visit the Three Gorges Dam. Admire the dramatic
shoals and verdant cliffs of Xiling Gorge, the
longest of the Three Gorges. (BB, L, Captain’s

DAY 13: Cruising the Yangtze River
Featured Excursion: Lesser Three Gorges
Board a riverboat for a voyage down the Lesser
Three Gorges, depending on water levels. After
returning to the cruise ship, sail through
Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. (BB, L, D)
DAY 14: Cruising the Yangtze River
Featured Excursion: Shibaozai, Fengdu or
Wanzhou
You’ll visit Shibaozai, Fengdu or Wanzhou,
depending on water levels. These are some of the
Yangtze River’s most impressive sights. (BB, L,

DAY 15: Cruising the Yangtze River to Chongqing
(disembark), Dazu
Featured Excursion: Dazu Rock Carvings
Disembark in Chongqing, and travel to Dazu to
enjoy the Dazu Rock Carvings from the Tang, Ming
and Qing Dynasties. Marvel at the more than
50,000 Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian rock

DAY 16: Chongqing, fly to Guilin
Featured Excursion: Chongqing city tour
Tour Chongqing, known for its great Sichuan
cuisine. Later in the day fly to Guilin. (BB, L,

DAY 17: Guilin
Featured Excursion: Yangzhou tour
Enjoy a half-day cruise down the Li River. Visit
Yangshou, a leading economic and cultural center
since the Tang Dynasty. (BB, L, D)
DAY 18: Guilin, fly to Hong Kong
Featured Excursion: Reed Flute Cave and
Chinese tea farm
Marvel at the distinctly-colored stalactites and
stalagmites in the Reed Flute Cave. Visit a
Chinese tea farm and fly to Hong Kong. (BB, L)
DAY 19: Hong Kong
Featured Excursion: Half-day city tour
Enjoy the best of the island – Victoria Peak,
the Aberdeen Fishing Village and Stanley Market.
