Itinerary
Day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City
Check in to your hotel in the heart of the city – the historic, French Colonial style Grand Hotel. Grand Hotel Saigon

Day 2 - Ho Chi Minh City
Today’s tour includes Notre Dame Cathedral and Cholon – the city’s bustling Chinatown on the Saigon River. Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a vast underground complex built by guerrilla fighters and used throughout the Vietnam War. Grand Hotel Saigon – Meals B

Day 3 - Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy an entire day at leisure. Grand Hotel Saigon – Meals B

Day 4 - Ho Chi Minh City / My Tho / Embark Ship
Travel the Mekong Delta to the port city of My Tho and board your ship. Settle in to your outside stateroom and enjoy lunch on-board as the ship sets sail for Cai Be. This afternoon, travel by junk to explore the local islands and visit An Kiet House, a former Imperial residence, where descendants of the Mandarin’s family welcome you for tea. Return to your ship, visiting the boatyards at Dong Hoa Hiep Island. RV Mekong or RV Tonle – Meals B,L,D

Day 5 - Cai Be / Chau Doc
Visit the colorful floating market of Cai Be and go ashore to see the French Gothic Cathedral and explore the port area, with its lovely colonial buildings and gardens. Cruise to Vinh Long to visit the Bonsai Garden and a tropical fruit orchard. RV Mekong or RV Tonle – Meals B,L,D

Day 6 - Chau Doc / Border Crossing
Explore the canals and waterways of the Mekong by local ferry to visit a Cham tribal village and a catfish farm. A rickshaw tour in town reveals beautiful French Colonial architecture and bustling local markets. Return for lunch on board as you cruise across the border to Cambodia. This evening you travel along the broad Mekong Channel toward Phnom Penh. RV Mekong or RV Tonle – Meals B,L,D

Day 7 - Phnom Penh
Arrive in the capital of Cambodia, a city that retains much of its French charm. Visit Phnom Penh’s most significant temples, including the spectacular Silver Pagoda, and discover the riches of Khmer culture at the National Museum. In the afternoon, you may join an excursion to the Killing Fields and a Khmer Rouge detention center. This evening, dine on board, or venture forth on your own to experience the city’s lively nightlife. RV Mekong or RV Tonle – Meals B,L,D

Day 8 - Phnom Penh / Kampong Cham
Enjoy a morning visit to Chong Koh, a quiet village of silk weavers. As you continue your cruise upstream, witness timeless scenes of river life – fishing boats and traditional farming villages. In the afternoon, stop in peaceful Peam Chi Kang to see its monastery and school. RV Mekong or RV Tonle – Meals B,L,D

Day 9 - Kampong Cham Area
This morning, visit Wat Hanchey, an 8th century temple of the ancient Chenla Empire. After lunch, drive to the unique 12th century Angkorian temple of Wat Nokor. Continue to the holy twin peaks of Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei to see the beautiful hilltop pagodas and shrines. RV Mekong or RV Tonle – Meals B,L,D

Day 10 - Tonle River
Cruise up the Tonle River through tropical jungle, past picturesque riverside temples and rural villages. Enjoy the sights and sounds of traditional river life as the ship arrives in Kampong Chhnang. Journey into the wetlands of Lake Tonle to view a stunning array of birdlife and to watch the local fishermen work their unique traps. RV Mekong or RV Tonle – Meals B,L,D

Day 11 - Tonle Sap / Siem Reap / Angkor Sightseeing
Travel across Tonle Sap, a vast lake with unique floating communities of families who have fished these waters for centuries. Arrive in Siem Reap and check in to your luxurious accommodations for a 2-night stay. This after-noon, visit Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, and spectacular Angkor Wat. Day 12 - Angkor Sightseeing
Angkor is one of the most significant archaeological complexes in Southeast Asia – a sprawling forested site containing the ruins of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th through 15th centuries. Day 13 - Siem Reap / Yangon
After a morning at leisure, fly to Yangon and transfer to your elegant accommodations in the heart of the city. Traders Hotel – Meals B

Day 14 - Yangon / Mandalay
Yangon is a charming city of wonderful architecture that recalls the elegance of Colonial Rangoon. Today’s tour includes Shwedagon Pagoda, a magnificent gold-gilded stupa, the National Museum and Scotts Market. Day 15 - Mandalay

Day 16 - Mandalay / Embark Ship
Following breakfast, transfer to your ship, the RV Pandaw to begin your journey on the Irrawaddy. Enjoy a tranquil afternoon and evening as you cruise through the heart of “The Golden Land.” RV Pandaw – Meals B,L,D

Day 17 - Cruising / Yandabo / Theingone
In the morning, explore historic Yandabo, famed for its terra cotta pottery made from mud gathered from the river banks. After lunch, stop in the village of Theingone and visit the school that was built with donations from past passengers of Pandaw Cruises. Return to your ship for dinner and a tranquil overnight. Day 18 - Disembark Ship / Bagan

Day 19 - Bagan
Bagan is one of the world’s preeminent ancient religious sites. Here, across an open plain of over 40 square miles, you can gaze upon thousands of ancient temples reflecting centuries of Buddhist faith. Day 20 - Bagan / Bangkok via Yangon

Day 21 - Bangkok

Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel (Bagan, Myanmar)
Since 1995 the Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel has undergone extensive renovation and expansion, offering guests a chance to truly enjoy its prime Bagan location. Grand Hotel Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)
