Vasa Museum / Embark Le Boreal Discover Stockholm’s remarkable islands on a cruise along the city’s canals, and explore the Vasamuseet (Vasa Museum) home to the ornate warship Vasa. Embark Le Boreal this afternoon for the start of your Baltic cruise. Meals BD • 4. Helsinki, City by the Sea Dock in Helsinki, Finland today. A guided tour includes Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, the Sibelius Monument, Market Square and Temppeliaukio (“Rock”) Church. Optional afternoon visits include the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum and Fortress of Suomenlinna. Meals BLD • 5. The State Hermitage Museum The treasures of The State Hermitage Museum – set within Catherine the Great’s Winter Palace and four other buildings in St. Petersburg, and renowned as the largest museum in the world – await on a guided visit today. End the day with Russian cultural entertainment. Meals BLD • 6. Cultural Treasures of St. Petersburg A guided tour includes the imposing 18th-century Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Petersburg’s oldest building, and its adjacent golden-spired Cathedral, imperial burial ground of the Romanov Dynasty; and Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood. Spend the remainder of the day enjoying the city’s rich legacy of history and the arts as you wish. Meals BLD • 7. Catherine the Great’s Summer Palace  See the Victory Monument en route to Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin) for a tour of Empress Catherine the Great’s stunning Summer Palace, begun in 1717 and expanded in later years in the Baroque style. View the palace’s fabulous interiors, including the restored Amber Room and the gardens. Lunch today showcases Russian folkloric entertainment in a local restaurant. Meals BLD • 8. Ancient Tallinn Dock in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, and one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe. A walking tour with a local guide takes you to its historic walled center. See St. Nicholas Church and 13th-century Toompea Castle, now the Parliament House, and walk through Market Square. The rest of the afternoon is free; a shuttle is available to take you back to the ship throughout the day. Meals BLD • 9. Cruising the Baltic Sea Spend the last day of your cruise at sea enjoying Le Boreal’s many on-board amenities and the warm camaraderie of your fellow shipmates. Join us for the Captain’s farewell dinner tonight as we set sail for Denmark. Meals BLD 10. Disembark in Copenhagen Disembark Le Boreal in Copenhagen, Denmark, for a two-night stay. A sightseeing tour includes Rosenborg Palace, where the Crown Jewels and the Danish Crown Regalia reside, and a visit to the colorful 17th-century waterfront district of Nyhavn. Your landmark hotel is close to Tivoli Gardens and the fashionable Strøget. Meals B 11. Roskilde / Viking Ship Museum Travel to Roskilde for a tour of the Vikingeskibshallen, the Viking Ship Museum, where you’ll view five restored 11th-century ships, including a longship and a Viking man o’ war. Day 1: Arrive in Stockholm
Upon arrival of your flight, a transfer is included from the Arlanda Airport to the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel in the heart of Stockholm. Meet your fellow travel companions at the welcome cocktail reception and dinner.

Day 2: Discovering Stockholm, Sweden's capital
Sightseeing in Stockholm with a local guide includes City Hall, where Nobel Prize festivities take place, and a walking tour along the cobbled streets of medieval Gamla Stan, or Old Town. Spend the remainder of the day as you please.

Day 3: • Stockholm's canals and the Vasa Museum
A cruise through Stockholm’s canals reveals the city's remarkable islands, as well as its seafaring past. This great maritime heritage is also brought to life during your visit to the fascinating Vasa Museum – featuring the impressive Vasa, an ornate royal warship that sank in the harbor following its launch in 1628 and was raised in 1961. Board the new Le Boreal to launch one of Tauck's popular Baltic Sea and Russia cruises.

Day 4: • Helsinki, "City by the Sea"
Following Le Boreal's arrival in seaside Helsinki, Finland, a sightseeing excursion shows you Senate Square, Helsinki Cathedral, Market Square, and Sibelius Monument dedicated to the great Finnish composer. Visit the Temppeliaukio Church, or Church of the Rock, a modern design hewn out of solid granite. Later, you may want to check out the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, and the Fortress of Suomenlinna.

Day 5: • Inside The State Hermitage Museum
Your journey aboard Le Boreal to the Baltics and Russia cruises to the glorious city of St. Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia. Today, take a privately guided tour of The State Hermitage Museum – set within Catherine the Great's Winter Palace and housing one of the largest collections of art and artifacts in the world – at the best time to avoid the crowds. Displays include prehistoric cultures, classical antiquities, Western European art, and golden treasures. Attend a Russian cultural event this evening.

Day 6: • Russia's cultural capital, St. Petersburg

Day 7: • Empress Catherine's Summer Palace

Explore Tallinn as you please for the rest of the day; a shuttle is available to take you from the city to the ship.

The afternoon and evening are free to explore the city as you please; wonderful Tivoli Gardens and the fashionable pedestrian area of Stroget are a short walk from your landmark hotel.

Day 11: Roskilde and the Viking Ship Museum
