Day 1: Arrive Copenhagen
A transfer is included from Copenhagen Airport to the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel in the heart of Denmark’s historic capital city, where strolling is a way of life and timeless pleasures thrive. Join us for a welcome reception and dinner.
Overnight: Copenhagen Marriott Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark
Meals Included: Dinner

Day 2: The Sights of Copenhagen
The enchantment begins on a morning city sightseeing tour of Copenhagen’s most iconic sights. They include Rosenborg Slot, a Renaissance castle which houses the Danish crown jewels and many other royal treasures, and a walk back in time to Old Copenhagen in colorful Nyhavn. This charming neighborhood, lined with canals and 18th-century houses, was the frequent home of Hans Christian Andersen who lived at #20, #67 and #18 at various times of his life. Spend the remainder of the day exploring this delightful city as you wish; your hotel is just a short stroll from Tivoli Gardens and fashionable Strøget.
Overnight: Copenhagen Marriott Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark
Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 3: Roskilde / Embark Le Boreal
Travel to the ancient Viking town of Roskilde, Denmark’s original capital, for a tour of the Viking Ship Museum; its collection of Nordic vessels includes full-size replicas of prehistoric boats as well as 11th-century Viking ships excavated from the sea floor. Return to Copenhagen and embark your elegant modern-day yacht, Le Boreal, for your 8-night cruise.
Overnight: Cruising aboard Le Boreal
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 4: Cruising the Baltic Sea
Spend a full day cruising aboard the award-winning yacht, Le Boreal, named “Best Newcomer of the Year in 2010” for her personality and eco-friendly technologies. Enjoy all the amenities your mega-yacht has to offer as it cruises the Baltic Sea to Riga, Latvia. Look out while you work out in the ship’s window-walled fitness center; take a refreshing dip in the pool, buoyed by natural waves; or relax at the open-air bar.
Overnight: Cruising aboard Le Boreal
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 5: Riga, Old and New
Go ashore in Riga, Latvia, for a fascinating look at the history of this fairy-tale Baltic city, past and present. Drive through New Town past a parade of Art Nouveau buildings, much of it the creation of Latvian architect Mikhail Eisenstein whose work is characterized by decorative windows with innovative shapes and glittering glass and metal tiles, and explore Riga Market. Old Town beckons with historic treasures that earned it designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the best way to truly experience them is on foot. Walk with us to Riga Castle, dating back to 1330 and today the official residence of the president of Latvia, and see the 17th-century Swedish Gate and St. Peter’s Church, standing on the same site since 1209; it is a blend of Gothic, Romanesque and Baroque building styles. The tour continues with an introduction to the medieval Three Brothers dwelling houses, representing different development stages of typical Middle Ages construction, and a visit to Herder Square. Dine aboard ship tonight.
Overnight: Cruising aboard Le Boreal
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 6: Ancient Tallinn
Dock this afternoon in the walled medieval city of Tallinn; this ancient city – now the capital of modern Estonia – captures your heart with its remarkably preserved buildings and monuments. Stroll Tallinn’s weathered cobblestone streets with your local guide on a two-hour walking tour. Meander through a maze of winding streets to 13th-century Toompea Castle, home to the city’s Parliament, and experience the energy of daily life in lively Market Square. You will have time this afternoon to explore the sights on your own. Tauck’s shuttle will bring you back to the ship. We set sail for Russia tonight.
Overnight: Cruising aboard Le Boreal
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 7: Discover St. Petersburg
Arrive in glorious St. Petersburg this afternoon, where Le Boreal will dock for two nights. Guided exploration during your stay includes the 18th-century Peter and Paul Fortress and the golden-spired Cathedral, imperial burial ground of the Romanov Dynasty and site of Peter the Great’s tomb, and is balanced with time at leisure to explore on your own. Tauck has arranged shuttle service to bring you back to the pier where your ship will be docked. Join us for dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight: Cruising aboard Le Boreal
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 8: St. Petersburg's Treasures
Tauck’s privately guided excursions today take you inside St. Petersburg’s most revered sights at the best times to see them to allow for more leisurely exploration. Depart for Palace Square and a visit to The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg; its vast collections reflect the development of art and world cultures from the Stone Age through the 21st century, and are considered among the world’s finest. Your tour continues with a stop at the Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood, built on the spot where Czar Alexander II was slain. A pre-theatre dinner on board Le Boreal precedes a special night of cultural entertainment at a royal palace where champagne, classical music and Russian ballet ensure a most memorable night on the town.
Overnight: Cruising aboard Le Boreal
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 9: The Summer Palace
